Telluride and Mountain Village deserve streets that are safe, comfortable, and easy for everyone to get around.

We believe everyone should have the freedom to move through our community safely and conveniently year-round. We’re creating the Telluride-Mountain Village Safety Action Plan, aiming to reduce traffic deaths, crashes, and close calls. With existing crash data and community input, this plan will include a prioritized list of near-term fixes and longer-term projects and strategies to improve safety for all road users.

We want to hear from you!

  • Do you feel safe walking, biking, driving, or rolling around Telluride and Mountain Village?
  • Are there intersections or streets that feel unsafe or hard to navigate?
  • Have you experienced a close call on the road? Tell us what happened.

Your local knowledge and experiences are essential in shaping this plan. Use the map to drop a pin where you feel unsafe or where a small change could make a big difference—such as crossings, lighting, speed management, congestion, parking issues, snow/ice operations, or wayfinding. Share what you experience during peak seasons and along school or commute routes and sign up for updates as draft concepts and potential projects are posted.
